New Generation of Green Turbochargers with Enhanced Durability
The objective of this project is to manufacture turbochargers with improved performance and a longer service life than those currently available on the market by implementing an enhanced, eco-efficient production process. To achieve this, the project will develop innovative TiO₂ coatings with greater corrosion resistance and durability through the optimization of the anodic electrodeposition process developed by MUGAPE.
As a result of this project, MUGAPE will be able to manufacture and offer the market a new generation of advanced turbochargers with increased durability under operating conditions. The company will also establish a repeatable, reproducible production process that can be scaled up for industrial manufacturing.
The process developed will also be applicable to other products and industrial sectors. Furthermore, it will strengthen MUGAPE's position as a leading company in its markets while expanding its current business lines.
The project is led by MUGAPE in collaboration with the technology center IK4-Cidetec.
