Technological Developments for New Automotive Components with Advanced Functional Finishes
The main objective of the SURCAR project is to develop new high-performance automotive components through advanced manufacturing technologies for the application of next-generation coatings and substrates. These innovative solutions provide components with enhanced properties such as anti-fingerprint, anti-corrosion, anti-condensation, and easy-to-clean surfaces.
Mugape's challenge within the project is the development of a new technology and innovative coatings to achieve outstanding aesthetic and functional performance, particularly superior corrosion resistance, for automotive bumper trim components.
The project, led by MAIER S. COOP, brings together the collaboration of FICOMIRRORS, S.A., ATOTECH ESPAÑA, S.A., MUGAPE, S.L., ELIX POLYMERS, S.L., CROMOGENIA UNITS, S.A., MONOCROM, S.L., and AUTOMATIZACIO DE PROCESSOS I MEDIAMBIENT S.L., with the support of the following technology and research centers: CIDETEC Foundation, LEITAT Technological Center, TEKNIKER Foundation, the Catalan Institute of Chemical Research (ICIQ), and Rovira i Virgili University.
